$35-$53/hr depending on experience level. 


Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Chiller Technician to lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of large-tonnage air conditioning systems and chillers. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for an experienced HVAC professional who can operate independently, lead job sites, and mentor junior technicians.

You will play a key role in maintaining our rental fleet, supporting installations, and driving technical solutions for complex equipment challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of large-tonnage chillers and HVAC systems
  • Serve as the primary technician on job sites and during service calls
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and refrigeration system issues
  • Perform system testing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
  • Support rental equipment installations and field operations
  • Source obsolete or hard-to-find parts and recommend system solutions
  • Assist in transitioning equipment to remote monitoring systems
  • Mentor and train junior technicians
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards

Qualifications

  • Senior Level: 5–7+ years of HVAC/chiller experience
  • Entry/Mid-Level (if applicable): 2–5 years of HVAC experience
  • Strong knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration cycles, and diagnostics
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead in field environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Certifications & Education

  • Universal EPA Certification (Required)
  • HVAC/Refrigeration degree required for Senior-level candidates
  • Additional certifications are a plus

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in demanding environments (outdoor, industrial, confined spaces)
  • Ability to commute to branch location

Schedule & Travel

  • Full-time, first shift role (minimum 40 hours/week)
  • Must be available for overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed

Pre-Employment Requirements

All candidates must be able to pass:

  • 10-panel DOT-compliant drug screening (including marijuana)
  • Background check (no disqualifying convictions within 7 years)
  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
  • DOT physical examination
